Vivo Tech Day 2024: Cutting-edge AI features and exclusive tech products showcased by the smartphone brand

The smartphone manufacturer showcased the newest technological advancements integrated into its smartphones during the second iteration of vivo Tech Day 2024. These included cover glass composition, AI video algorithm support, imaging capabilities, iQOO flashcharge technology, and more.

In addition to showcasing its contributions to the nation’s mobile ecosystem during the previous ten years, vivo revealed significant numbers from the third edition of its India Impact Report 2024 at the event, which took place in New Delhi on Tuesday, July 30.

Vivo’s Tech Day Updates

As per the estimate, Vivo’s manufacturing facility located in India has produced over 150 million smartphones in total over the last nine years. The company has exported smartphones that are “Made in India” for more than Rs 400 crore.

“Vivo India’s last ten years have been characterized by influence, tenacity, and dedication. Geetaj Channana, head of corporate strategy at vivo India, stated, “From our humble beginnings as a newcomer, we now proudly serve over 120 million vivo smartphones used by proud Indians today.”

Among the imaging technologies on show at vivo Tech Day 2024 were those created in collaboration with ZEISS, such as the T* Coating for improved image clarity and decreased light reflection, the ZEISS APO Telephoto lens with a 100x zoom, and the Multifocal Portraits feature that allows for the use of five focal lengths to take portraits of a high caliber

Additionally, it unveiled the V3+ chip, a next-generation CPU that supports AI Video algorithms. In relation to artificial intelligence, the company also unveiled the XFold3 Pro smartphone, which makes use of cutting-edge AI capabilities from Google’s Gemini on Vertex AI to improve productivity, eliminate language barriers, and expedite processes.

The cover glass included with smartphones was also put to the test. Strict Set Drop Tests, Ball Drop Tests, Bending Tests, and Folding Tests were used by SCHOTT, a German manufacturer renowned for its cutting-edge glass technology, to show the cover glass’s resilience.’

The company iQOO demonstrated the first commercial 200W FlashCharge technology at its booth, which allows a 4700mAh battery to be fully charged in just 10 minutes. Furthermore, iQOO demonstrated their Supercomputing Chip Q1, a proprietary gaming chip with 144 frames per second gameplay, 900P level Super Resolution, and Game Frame Interpolation (MEMC) to improve computing capabilities.
