Apple Suddenly plans to postpone its AI features, 2024: Reports Says

According to the recent update, which cited people with knowledge of the situation, the iPhone manufacturer intends to start distributing Apple Intelligence to consumers as part of software updates that will be available by October. According to Bloomberg, AI functionality would be available a few weeks after the initial September launches of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.

Apple, AI

The article also stated that IOS intends to make Apple Intelligence available to software developers for early testing as soon as this week through betas of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1.

An inquiry for comment sent to Apple outside of regular business hours was not immediately answered.

Apple (AAPL.O) launches a new tab. Future software updates for the iPhone and iPad will not coincide with the initial release of planned artificial intelligence features, according to a story published by Bloomberg News on Sunday.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new chapter in Apple innovation. It will transform what users can do with our products — and what our products can do for our users,” said Tim Cook, CEO. “Our unique approach combines generative AI with a user’s personal context to deliver truly helpful intelligence. And it can access that information in a completely private and secure way to help users do the things that matter most to them. This is AI as only IOS can deliver it, and we can’t wait for users to experience what it can do.”

To boost declining sales, ios highlighted its AI drive in June by releasing a plethora of new features and software updates for its iPhone and other devices.

With its M1 chip and later generations, the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad, and Mac will all be able to employ Apple Intelligence, which uses AI to create text, photos, and other material on command. Mac PCs can view and interact with the iPhone’s screen thanks to iPhone Mirroring on MacOS Sequoia.

The allegation comes after IOS postponed the release of three new AI features in late June due to historic EU tech regulations requiring it to make sure competing goods and services work with its device. Furthermore, intends to release the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 betas this week, giving software developers access to Apple Intelligence for the first time for early testing.
